Unmentioned in the Brookline.News coverage of the Brookline High School graduation is the extraordinary story of the first student speaker, who despite life-long physical challenges, graduated from BHS with a stunning 4.0 GPA and is headed to college. The student’s speech, which was read by a helper, brimmed with passion, hope, gratefulness, and inspiration, and is a testament not only to the student’s courage, strength, and intelligence, but to the Brookline schools teachers and staff – from BEEP through grade 12 at BHS – who provided the student with instruction and guidance along the way to graduation. Best wishes, Nandita Rahman!
