This was my favorite hardware store because of the Monroys. They were terrific to their customers and managed to have everything we ever needed. They even were able to find a window sash weight in the store’s basement which saved us after one of ours fell down in the wall. They are a really lovely couple who ran an excellent business. They will be missed ( and their dog too.) Brookline needs more well run small businesses like theirs.
