Brookline.News is publishing the latest emails from the Town Meeting Members Association listserv, which were obtained as part of an ongoing public records request. In these messages sent between May 20 and May 26, Town Meeting members discuss the build up to the session of Town Meeting, including the controversial ceasefire resolution, Warrant Article 19.
Editor’s note: These emails were sent in the week leading up to Town Meeting, and contain a flurry of deliberation before the formal debate and votes started. Brookline.News is only able to publish them now, after Town Meeting is complete, because the Town Meeting Members Association has declined to make the emails publicly available, and they can only be obtained through a formal records request to the town which takes 1-2 weeks to be fulfilled.
